A spin-off from the BAFTA-winning series Motherland, Amandaland launced on BBC1 in 2025 to critical acclaim, garnering three BAFTA nominations of its own. Focused on Amanda (Lucy Punch) who has had to downsize and up sticks to South Harlesden. With both her children now at secondary school, Amanda has to try and get her head around raising teenagers, dealing with modern motherhood horrors like teenage drinking and fake Instagram accounts.
Co-starring Joanna Lumley and Philippa Dunne, the first series was script edited by Larry, who also co-wrote alongside Holly Walsh, Barunka O'Shaunessy and Helen Serafinowicz. A second series is now in production, to air in 2026, with Holly and Larry co-writing.
